A. In Connecticut, the income and financial contributions of a non-parent who lives with the custodial parent are not relevant to determination of child support, regardless of their effect in lowering expenses.

B. As each child is emancipated, a motion for modification should be made (unless the recipient parent will enter into a stipulation that reduces support voluntarily). It is important that the motion be made promptly because retroactive modification will not be granted.

C. No. Under Connecticut law, the non-custodial parent is not generally responsible for any portion of college expenses.
