Mandatory exchange of financial information is required within the first 30 days. During the ensuing period, discovery proceeds and negotiations will almost always occur. The court can enter temporary orders at any time. By approximately the 90th day, the parties must have filed a case management plan (an agreement on how the case will be handled procedurally) or else a appear before judge and have those matters directed by the court. *Lots* of things happen in the first 90 days.
