I divorced my wife after a 15 year marriage. I did not realize she was bipolar when I married her in 1984. I left her after realizing I did not have to put up with her continuing threats against my life. I gave everything to get out of this situation, including the house, content, and near half of my income for the rest of her life. We never had any children. After three years, I am remarried with a loving family, and very much resent continuing to support my ex, who is living in a beautiful three bedroom home, that I could not afford to live in. She income includes insurance payments over 20years from a suspicious car accident in 1984, and my alimony payments of $1400.00/mo. I am a nurse. I enjoy helping people in need, but I resent support my ex who threatened my life on a regular basis.
