I don't practice in either of those states. Generally, the state in which one of the parties is domiciled, not the state in which they were married, has jurisdiction over a marriage. Moreover, if a child is removed from a state of habitual residence, the "old" state, not the "new" state, will generally have exclusive jurisdiction over the issue of child custody. See an attorney in your state who specializes in these matters.
